Here we have the Kowalski [...]

NFL Hall of Famer and NFL Player Association president Gene Upshaw died of pancreatic cancer last night.
NFL commissioner and Bronxville native Roger Goodell had this to say about Upshaw’s passing.
“Gene Upshaw did everything with great dignity, pride, and conviction,” Goodell said in a statement. “He was the rare individual who earned his place in the [...]

David Clowney has missed practice since a collision last Saturday took him out of a game against Washington. Jets coach Eric Mangini wouldn’t elaborate on the nature of the inury other than to say it was to his shoulder, but Clowney’s agent Brian Mackler said Clowney shouldn’t be out for the season.

Here are some of things that Jets quarterback Brett Favre said today in his weekly press conference. For example, if the Packers won the NFC championship, “Maybe we’re not here. I have no idea. I’d like to have that opportunity to make that decision. I’ve been asked that question a lot. The answer is, [...]

Coach Eric Mangini said that WR David Clowney, who left Saturday’s preseason game against Washington after a collision, would not be practicing in the forseeable future with a “shoulder” injury. It was like pulling teeth to get Mangini to reveal that much. Clowney has had a good preseason and seemed in a good position [...]

Brett Favre is slated to speak later today, but in the meantime, I’d like to offer one of my favorite essays on sports. So in honor of the Jets-Giants preseason matchup this Saturday (yes, technically it’s the same area, but the basic tenets still hold…) how about this from The Onion:
You Will Suffer Humiliation When [...]

Brett Favre will be on 1050 ESPN Radio at 5:10 today, and DB Nate Lyles was waived. No these two things aren’t even slightly related.
Lyles, a CB from UVA, was signed as a rookie free agent after the draft. He was released on July 22 and resigned by the Jets on July 31.
Update on Favre: [...]

The Jets have another day off today, and we have a story on the next step for quarterback Brett Favre after a successful, albeit brief, debut on Saturday night.
The day off means all is quiet on the Jets front. A little too quiet…
I can’t help but think that the announcement on personal seat licenses [...]

In case you missed it—and if you really are a Jetsophile how could you?—Brett Favre made everyone feel very optimistic in his two drives and 14 plays last night.
Our story on the game here. Sam Borden’s column on Favre is here. Best of all, after the 13-10 loss to Washington, the QB said he [...]
