Pace makers explanation

Calvin Pace spoke today for the first time since being found in violation of the NFL banned substances policy.

”(It was) a workout supplement that I had previously taken before (the NFL) banned substance list changed,” Pace said. “I lapsed and I take full responsibility for it. (I need to) stay up on it and know what’s banned and what’s not banned.”

The linebacker will be replaced by Vernon Gholston in the lineup, Rex Ryan said last week. Pace will have a lot of mentoring to do if that’s going to be possible.Some fans and players were surprised that Ryan made his intentions public before the start of training camp, particularly when Marques Murrell had such a strong OTA and minicamp showing.

“I’m going to try and push the guys so that they practice and perform like starters,” Pace said. “I think with the new regime and how they preach it – practicing hard and carrying that over to the games, I think they’ll be fine. Vernon’s played a little bit, Marques hadn’t played as much as Vernon, so it’s really about them getting good, valuable experience during the preseason.”

Is he disappointed in the fact that his absence could hurt the Jets early on?

“It’s disappointing because I feel we have a chance to do some great things,” Pace said. “I let the team down; the simple fact that I’m plugged in to certain spots so somebody else is going to have to step in. With all of that said, I don’t want my situation to be a distraction to what we’re trying to do, which is win games. I just have to take the punishment, I’m not going to cry about it, when I come back for the last 12 (games), I’ll do my thing.”

I wonder if this list of banned substances is available some where ?
What supplement did Calvin take ?
Is it the primary ingrediant of the supplement, or the seventh minor ingrediant listed on the box ?
Or Calvin is this your spin on getting caught with a PED ?
