Fun Jets-Titans facts

November

Couple of things gleaned from the Jets pregame notes this week. Turns out the team hasn’t won four straight and six of seven since the start of the 2004 season. And the 7-3 Jets haven’t owned the AFC East lead since 2001.

Jets RB Thomas Jones leads the AFC in rushing with 854 yards.

QB Brett Favre has never won a game at LP Field.

Jets are 28th in the league in passing net yards per game, and that’s with Favre at quarterback. The 10-0 Titans are first in points per game, and they also lead in sacks.

Leon Washington leads the league in combined yards with 1,475.

Jets DE Shaun Ellis and Titans DT Albert Haynesworth played together for a year at Tennessee.

And of course, Titans LB Keith Bulluck is originally from New City in Rockland County. We will have more Wednesday from Florham Park as the Jets get started preparing in earnest to gain a better position in the AFC.

The Jets might be 5-5 without Washington…

He is invaluable, and deserves what ever 7 figure salary he’s getting

Actually, Leon Washington deserves a raise. He is making $451,000 this season, along with Kellen Clemens, Brad Smith, Wallace Wright, Eric Smith and Drew Coleman.
