Lowery’s tattoo

Rookie cornerback Dwight Lowery has an interesting tattoo under his collarbone. It’s two waves representing the zodiac sign for water (kind of like the image, right) and the words, “Like Mom,” are written in script underneath. I asked him what it meant.
Turns out he was looking for a way to celebrate his mother Tracy Rivers’ birthday last year. They are both the sign of Aquarius, and his mother had him when she was younger so they grew up together in a lot of ways. Lowery explains that he and his mom were made closer by other circumstances when he was a kid, and the result is a strong bond today.
“If I was a girl I’d be like my mom, and if she were a guy she’d be like me.”
That’s where the “Like Mom,” comes from. And his mother got a matching tattoo on the back of her neck with the words, “Like Son.” He said they are best friends and competitors, and have a unique understanding of each other.
