The games this weekend will probably be a lot more fun for Jets fans to watch now that their team’s own win for the week is secure. Most of the players have already gotten out of town for the weekend. They aren’t due back again until next week, a mini-bye after two games in four days.
They can use the rest. A reader asked about Shaun Ellis. He was in the locker room after the game, and gave interviews until about 12:30 a.m. Friday morning. He didn’t appear to be hurting. Under the Eric Mangini Rule of Silence, Ellis couldn’t admit it if he were hurt, but in the past players who have an injury go right in to see the trainer and are usually late coming out.
Anyone planning to watch the Jacksonville game? Is Tennessee beatable? What would a win in Nashville do for the franchise. Probably questions we wouldn’t be asking before the Buffalo game, but the Jets—flaws and all—are proving worthy of consideration.
For those who don’t know what to do with the weekend now that the Jets have played, come check out another contact sport when Suburbia Roller Derby plays the Morristown league tonight at Instant Replay Morristown Rink—not far from the Jets practice facility in Florham Park, N.J. Doors open at 6.
