Before the JET traded for Favre, they were preparing to be a smashmouth running team. Everything was in place for Chad. I think that the JETS probably would have had the same record with either QB. Here are the numbers. Passer rating Chad 95.2 (2) Brett 87.8 (5), Yards Chad 1991, Brett 1812, TD/INT Chad 7/4, Brett 15/12, Sacks Chad 13, Brett 16, YPG Chad 248, Brett 226. This is an interesting stat, Chad has 23 passes of 20+ yards compared to Bretts 19. Both QBs have 5 passes of 40 yards +. Chads long is 80 and Bretts is 60. The biggest difference is Chad beat SD & NE and almost beat the NY Jets. The scary thing is if the last game of the season means making the playoffs, we may have to beat MIAMI. Wouldn't that be a KICKER

I read an article that asks this following question - If Chad Pennington would be the QB where would the Jets be today? Most think the Jets would be either 5-3 or 6-2. The question is - Was the trade for Brett Favre a waste? I personally think and I said this before the season started that Chad Pennington could've led the Jets to the Playoffs or even to the Superbowl. Brett Favre might lead the Jets to the Superbowl, but he might not have been needed. If the Dolphins make the playoffs it would seem that Brett was not a needed player. If the Dolphins make the playoffs even if the Jets also make it Pennington would be congragulated with doing a harder job. But at this point with the Dolphins 1 game behind the Jets - Who do you think did a better job, Favre or Pennington?
