Coles jabs Favre

Verbally that is. This clip is Laveranues Coles laughing about what he’s learned from being so close to QB Brett Favre’s locker.
No. 1 apparently seems to be that Favre dresses in the same clothes every day despite the cheese he makes. Listen to Coles hilariously go from there…
In other news gleaned from this morning’s press conferences, Eric Smith’s appeal was denied. Rookie CB Dwight Lowery is a candidate to replace him against 0-5 Cincinnati on Sunday.
Jets coach Eric Mangini was asked if he, like Chad Ocho Cinco, ever considered changing his name. When he couldn’t come up with a new candidate, I suggested Mangenius. Eric laughed.
“We know how quickly those names change,” he said.
Favre went home to Hattiesburg, Miss for the long bye weekend and said he did some yard work, and got stressed out about how much work there was still to do down there. So it was nice to, “come back to an unstressful job,” Favre said.
As for building on the Arizona success:
“It seems like that game was a month ago,” Favre said.
Out of Cincinnati, AP reports that Bengals QB Carson Palmer will be limiting his throwing this week in order to rest a sore right elbow for Sunday’s game. He was injured in a loss to the Giants on Sept. 21.
“There were a couple times where I didn’t have the confidence I normally have, just because my arm’s not the same as previous to the injury,” he said. “As far as throwing balls, I felt like I missed a couple of throws I shouldn’t have missed. But the only thing I noticed was just a little less confidence in throwing some. I saw holes (in the coverage) in certain spots that I kind of held back on and moved on to the next guy.”
