A Scoreless Tie!

August
23

If you like scoreless ties, you’d love tonight’s matchup between Brett Favre and Eli Manning. Both quarterbacks managed to get their teams in position, but the Jets botched it with penalties and the Giants missed a field goal attempt to go into the half scoreless.

Jets CB Justin Miller went out with a foot injury. Worse off, Giants DE Osi Umenyiora needed an X-ray on his left knee. The results were negative and he will be further evaluated.

One Response to “A Scoreless Tie!”

Just seeing the long touchdown pass (although called back) gave me more hope. The one thing that worries me is while the Jets have been able to pass protect, why can’t they run the ball? I thought the addition of Brett Favre and the new line would pay major dividends in the run game.
