It’s Bud!

The biggest question about the new stadium has finally been answered. Never mind possible cost overruns, whether the current coach will be around and who the QB is—Jets fans will be drinking Budweiser as they watch it unfold at the new stadium at the Meadowlands.

Anheuser-Busch joins MetLife as one of four major sponsors of the new stadium for the Jets and Giants, the construction of which Jets fans can enjoy all season long. (When I was out there to cover the Giants this spring, I had the fun of finding where the ramp for the northbound New Jersey Turnpike was—a new path each time!)

The Bud sponsorship is reportedly worth $10-$15 million, and the fifth and final sponsor will pay $20 million for a package including naming rights. Oh, the suspense!
