Jay Cross has resigned as the Jets president to become president of Related Hudson Yards. Mike Tannenbaum will step in, with a new title of executive vice president/general manager.

Cross had a lot to do with the Jets push for a West Side Stadium, which ultimately failed. With the Giants, the Jets are building a new stadium next to the current Giants Stadium in New Jersey, which all hope will be completed by the 2010 season.

The Jets made a few other front office moves. Matt Higgins is the new EVP of business operations, and Thad Sheely is the new EVP of stadium development and finance. Those two and Tannenbaum report to team owner Woody Johnson, and Johnson made the announcement yesterday.
