In today’s Journal News we have the story of No. 6 draft pick Vernon Gholston’s arrival at the Jets mandatory minicamp. He’s happy to be there, but a he was a little clueless when it came to assignments on the field.
All over the league, the rookies are starting to sign. The Raiders signed Darren McFadden to a six-year deal.

From what I read it doesn’t seem like it’ll be hard to sign VG. The Jets and him want this over and done soon somewhere near the end of this month. I hope he lives up to what the Jets need him to be.
I’ve been looking around the web and I can’t find much about Dustin Keller, also from what I understand he wasn’t rated as high by other teams. If you can it would be great to know who this guy is and what’s his story. Thanks for everything, Have a great week.

Thomas,
Dustin made at least one terrific catch in the mandatory minicamp with everyone watching. He’s certainly someone who is a bit of an unknown. A tight end with a reputation for being weak on the block is pretty limited, expecially if you line him up against Bubba Franks or Chris Baker.
We’ll keep an eye on him when training camp opens to see how he develops.
