With C.J. Mosley inactive, that means defensive lineman Mike DeVito, an undrafted free agent out of Maine, will be active for the first time in his career. DeVito’s grandfather, the late Ralph Consiglio, was the former Suffern High School coach.

So, to recap, that means rookies DeVito and Jacob Bender, an offensive lineman, are both active for the first time in his careers.

Also, just a quick impression after the Bills’ first drive, but if the Bills are able to play smash-mouth football against the Jets, this might be a long day. Of course, it helps that the Bills apparently have no clue where the end zone is. That shovel pass call was awful – let Trent Edwards throw the ball.

Finally, I guess most of you decided to stay home because the stands are half full here. Can’t say I blame anybody who chose not to show up today.

Bums me out that the server has gone down here, because there was so much venting I needed to do. I am really starting to wonder what the hell Shottenheimer is thinking. They threw points out the window with that trick play…granted, it was basically just a Leon Washington fumble, but why do they think that lining Chad up at wide receiver would scare or confuse anyone? I’d think they would just lock on to Smith harder. Secondly, they should have just taken a knee inside their own 15 with the half running out. Nothing good could have come of that, except for the fact that they escaped without another turnover. Lastly, has anyone else noticed that Chad seems to audible on almost every play? Are the initial calls so bad that he is forced to change every single play at the line of scrimmage? On seemingly every play, they wind up barely getting the snap off, which negates any chance of Chad using a hard count to draw the opponent offsides.

    Hope this all changes..

    First series of second half…WTF?!?

Still clueless, I guess. They must be seducted by the wind, but logic says they should have tried to come out and run Jones down their throat. Very bad start. I hope the defensive gives them a chance to reboot the offensive computer and rethink things.
