The Jets have yet to announce their starting quarterback as we’re within a half hour of kickoff but it certainly appears Kellen Clemens will be the man.
During the pre-game drills, Clemens took all the snaps with the first team – and many with the second team – as Pennington stood to the side and watched. That’s usually the best indication of what’s going to happen.
Still a little curious why the Jets, knowing Pennington wasn’t going to start, wouldn’t have listed Marques Tuiasosopo as the backup. Perhaps, Eric Mangini is going to bring Pennington in later in the game to try to provide an emotional lift if the Jets find themselves behind.
