Chad or Kellen?

September
16

OK, now we’re an hour until kickoff and there’s still no official indication as to which quarterback will start – for either the Jets or Ravens.

Both Chad Pennington and Kellen Clemens are active for the Jets with Marques Tuisasosopo being the emergency third quarterback while both Steve McNair and Kyle Boller are active for the Ravens.

I’m still going with Clemens as the starter, though there’s plenty of doubt in my prediction now. For the Ravens, I’d lay money that McNair starts.

Here’s the full inactive list.

Jets – Tuiasosopo, S Abram Elam, CB Drew coleman, TE Joe Kowalewski, LB Cody Spencer, DE Mike DeVito, OL Jacob Bender, TE Jason Pociask.

Ravens – K Rhys Lloyd (by the way, if you’re a kicker and you’re inactive, why are you on the roster?), QB Troy Smith (who gets to keep his Heisman Trophy despite being inactive), CB David Pittman, RB Cory Ross, RB Mike Anderson, T Jonathan Ogden (toe, not unexpected), TE Daniel Wilcox, LB Edgar Jones.

As posted a little earlier, Jets white on white, Ravens purple over white. Perfect day for football here, barely any wind, no clouds in the sky (which might not be great for the kick and punt returners).

Any questions, commens, complaints, etc., please let me know and I’ll try to keep up as much as possible.

I guess Justin Miller is healthy? Andrew, any word on Ben Graham? I know he landed a bit funny last week and supposedly there was another punter brought in this week??

    Frank,

Justin Miller and Ben Graham are active today, so there shouldn’t be any problems with Ben. Also, both fullbacks, Stacy Tutt and Darian Barnes are active, which is a smart move since the Jets will likely have to max protect.
