Andrew, I hope you can get the accurate contract details. I don't have any interest in the totals. I want to know the guaranteed salary and how it breaks out. It has appeared that almost all of the big deals were three year deals with multiple team options for successive years and to make the agents look good. I wonder how this deal stacks up. If we can get out after three years without a Curtis Martin cap hit or keep him another year or two more without getting killed.

Also, it seems to me that Coleman is JAG. Why else sign him and Hamilton other than to see which body is the less worst. I would be curious if you could find out anything credible to convince us otherwise. I so badly want to be convinced :-(

Nevermind, I just saw it on their website.

They should have went after Bowens instead. Coleman has 6 career sacks in 57 games! Bowens had 6 last year. Certainly not a pass rushing threat, but it's a good depth move. Hopefully, they can land a real pass rushing threat at #25.

Richard is right. Lots of teams want Carriker. No way he falls to 25. Unfortunately.

Greg: where did you see they signed Coleman? I can't find it.

No way Carriker will fall to 25. Hes a monster and a lot of teams ahead of the Jets are into him ... Jets would have to trade up.

No meeting scheduled for Columbo, pure speculation at his point.

The DE's interviewed today are more situation pass rush types, not starters.

Carriker is the target, I hope they get him.

Even if the Jets do sign a defensive end, I still think they need defensive line help and that's probably where they'll go at No. 25. I don't think they'll go offensive line again after grabbing Brick and Nick last year. I agree Leonard would be a nice pickup, but certainly not at No. 25.

Excellent!

Just a thought: if the Jets do sign a RT and a DE, what do they do come draft time? They won't have any major holes to fill, except for a solid shutdown CB which they most likely won't get. Do they go FB and take Brian Leonard? That seems too early for him though.
