Jane McManus of The Journal News on the Jets.

Third quarter: Colts 22, Bears 17

Heading into the final quarter of the 2006 NFL season (because I don’t think this one is going to overtime) and trying to think ahead to who will be named the game’s MVP.

If things continue as they are, Colts QB Peyton Manning will likely win the award, almost by default. My vote might go to Joseph Addai or co-MVP’s with Addai and Dominic Rhodes. If the Bears rally, Thomas Jones will likely play a key role and probably earn the honor.

However, it would be neat to see a defensive player win, like, say, the Colts’ Bob Sanders.

Any thoughts?
