The trade deadline is Oct. 17 at 4 p.m., the same day players are eligible to come offf the physically-unable-to-perform list. However, I'd be surprised if either Ramsey or Robertson are traded in the middle of the season, though player-for-player deals are becoming more common in the NFL. There are cap considerations for both players and, on top of that, I think the Jets want to stick with a more experienced backup. I don't discount deals for either in the off-season.

And, yes, Robertson seems far better suited to a 4-3 team.

When is the trading deadline? Would seem that once Clemens is deemed ready to be the number two, Ramsey could very well be marketed to a team desperate for a QB (Tampa, KC?).

Also would not surprise me to see them unload Robertson to a 4-3 team (again KC?).

The QB question has been pretty much relegated to the back burner since Chad's somewhat surprising return to form. Consequently, it has not been such a hot issue in our NG from the day that he was officially installed as the starter. It's good to know that Em has not let it slip his mind though. It's what one would expect from a smart, well organized HC. I'm so glad we've got him.

Thanks for keeping us posted on this saituation, Andrew. We all know that it's just one bad hit away from once again becoming everyone's Topic One.
